Stillness is a powerful practice.
Restorative yoga offers a gentle, nurturing space to slow down, breathe deeply, and allow the body to rest and heal.
Unlike more active styles of yoga, restorative poses are typically held for 5 to 20 minutes, allowing your nervous system to shift from a state of stress ("fight or flight") into one of rest and repair ("rest and digest"). Through gentle positioning, mindful breathing, and meditation, the practice helps release tension, calm the mind, and restore balance.
During class, you'll be fully supported with bolsters, blocks, blankets, and cushions, allowing your fascia, connective tissue, and larger muscle groups to soften and release with ease. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
Restorative yoga is especially beneficial for those:
Recovering from illness, injury, or surgery
Managing chronic stress, anxiety, or burnout
Seeking relief from muscle tension and fatigue
Looking to improve sleep and relaxation
Navigating menopause or other significant life transitions
Simply needing time to pause, recharge, and reconnect with themselves
Props are provided. Please bring your yoga mat and one comfortable blanket.
